Chaka Khan

Chaka who is also known as Queen of Funk as she is also known is an American record producer. She has won of ten Grammys in her long career, which spans over fifty years. Billboard named her the 65th-most popular dancer of all time. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, she was introduced to jazz music by her grandmother at an early age. She started her career performing with different bands. She later joined the group Rufus. Together with the group, she recorded her first album at age twenty. In the year following the group won their debut Grammy. After a couple of years, she debuted as a solo artist, and the album was self-titled. In the following years, she's released other albums such as "Echoes of a Time", "The Woman I am" and one track called 'Funk This". In addition to her musical acts, her charitable efforts has gained her a lot of recognition. She established The Chaka Khan Foundation to help children with families in need, as well as individuals with autism. Khan is also an actor occasionally. She was the character sister Carrie on stage in musical "Mama I'm Ready to Sing.' Chaka Chaka Chaka
