Sofia Pernas was born in Morocco and moved to California at age five. She grew up primarily within Orange County. In 2015, she graduated from University of California San Diego and got her first break as an actress. Pernas started her acting career with small parts on NCIS and Leverage. The Young and the Restless gave Pernas the character Marisa. After her exit from the soap opera Jane the Virgin in 2016 she was recast in the role of Catalina the character that appeared on the show regularly. The actress speaks four languages and has since appeared on The Brave with Hannah Rivera in addition to The Green Ghost and Secret Society of Second Born Royals. Her role as Lexi Vaziri was on Blood & Treasure between the years of 2019 and 2020. Us Weekly confirmed that Pernas and Justin Hartley were dating in May, in 2020.
